We're hiring an Executive Search Associate

Executive Search Associates (ESAs) support the execution of executive search projects under the direction of the Search Partner or Managing Director, ESAs assist with developing position specifications and candidate scorecards, researching companies and industries, identifying and building a pipeline of qualified candidates, preparing status reports, facilitating communication with candidates, clients. ESAs operate in a high-level professional services industry and are expected to possess an innate sense of urgency, curiosity and sound judgement.


Through this process, the ESA is in a position to learn from and be mentored by the Search Partner or Managing Director, broadening their experience and understanding of the executive search process, executive roles and functions and client management. This position has significant opportunities for career advancement.


 ESAs are required to support a variety of related business functions and across many clients and simultaneous executive searches. Strong mastery of time management, attention to detail, proactiveness and initiative are essential. Specific responsibilities include – 


Administrative: 

  • Schedule and manage calendars for clients, candidates and internal team members
  • Book travel, register for conferences
  • Maintain client and candidate databases and internal shared drives, ensuring systems and platforms remain up-to-date and accurate 
  • Manage the milestones of an executive search and ensuring candidates and clients, as directed, are kept informed of each stage of the process


Research & Writing: 

  • Identify and compile search-specific intelligence about the market / industry / sector, a client’s competitors and other variables impacting an executive search
  • Using this search-specific research, assist in the development of position specification(s), candidate scorecards and a focused approach to each search. 
  • Identify and contact possible candidates to generate interest in opportunities, assess qualifications / suitability and collect information and feedback for clients.
  • Participate in client and candidate interviews, managing client needs and assessing candidate suitability
  • Format / write resumes, assist in the preparation of status reports and candidate assessments
  • Assist in the development of business development and marketing products for prospective clients

  • 1-2 years’ professional work experience
  • An undergraduate BA/BS degree
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Experience researching, analyzing and      consolidating information into consumable insights
  • Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent tasks /      projects


  

  • Prior experience in recruiting or human resources, especially Executive Search 
  • Experience targeting potential candidates, developing pitch materials and conducting market research.
